Larry Thompson
Dr. Thompson serves as Chief Operations Officer. He is a native of Hartsville, Tennessee where he graduated from Trousdale County High School. He earned a B.A. in psychology at Kentucky Southern College in Louisville Kentucky, and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees at Peabody College. He has held both a license as a school psychologist and a secondary teacher.
His professional experience includes social worker, teacher, school psychologist, university faculty, program director, Director of Children and Youth Services and Deputy Director, Office of Managed Care for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Thompson also served as President of the Professional Staff Organization at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute and Chair of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, Children, Youth and Families Division. Prior to assuming his current duties he held the position as Area Vice President for Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System.
